Musical Artists Performing With the Sandia Strings

All of our musicians have professional education, training and experience and actively perform with orchestras, operas, chamber ensembles and as solo artists.

	Lynn Gorman DeVelder, harpist, has performed in many orchestras including the Phoenix Symphony, the New Mexico Symphony, the El Paso Symphony, the El Paso Opera, the Maryland Symphony, and the "President's Own" U.S. Marine Band.
	David Felberg, violinist and violist, is the associate concertmaster for the New Mexico Symphony. In addition, Mr. Felberg performs regularly with the Santa Fe Symphony, Chatter, the Placitas Artists Series and the Albuquerque Chamber Soloists.
	Megan Holland, violinist, has been principal second violin in the Charleston Symphony and was a member of the CSO String Quartet. She has also is an active member of the Breckenridge Music Festival and currently plays regularly with the with the Santa Fe Symphony.
	Catherine Castro, violinist, performs regularly with the Giovanni String Quartet, the New Life Symphony and the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra.
	Ikuko Kanda, violinist, has played with the Santa Fe Festival Ballet, Chatter, the Santa Fe New Music Performance Series, and the Placitas Artists Series. Currently she is a member of the New Mexico Symphony and has served as concertmaster with the Santa Fe Symphony.
	Karl Winkler, violist and violinist, performs regularly with the Giovanni String Quartet and is the principal violist for the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra. He has played with the New Mexico Symphony and the Santa Fe Symphony.
	Ramona Myers, violist and violinist, has played with the Lubbock Symphony, the San Angelo Symphony, the Baton Rouge Symphony and the Roswell Symphony and has been on recordings at the Don Caldwell Recording Studio. She performs regularly with the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra.
	Richard Strauss, cellist, has played with the Syracuse Symphony and performs regularly with the Giovanni String Quartet, the Roswell Symphony and is the principal cellist with the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra.
	Merry Wadsworth, cellist, has performed with the La Mirada Civic Light Opera, the North San Diego County Theatre, and in several Gilbert and Sullivan festivals in California. She currently plays with the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra and on holiday concerts with the Hoffmantown Church Orchestra.
	Lisa Donald, cellist, has performed with the Santa Fe Symphony, the Miami Symphony, the West Palm Beach Orchestra, and the Kansas City Symphony. She has also performed in theater, improv and rock music productions in New York.
